We have been so desensitized to mass shootings that it hardly warrants more than passing comment on the news. Recent case in point: the university shooting in Washington.
Sad.
I don't know why we can't get sensible gun control in this country. Every other developed country has been able to do it.
And for those who wave the Second Amendment around as the barrier to doing so, not so fast. This is what the US Supreme Court says on the matter, through an opinion written by Justice Scalia, no less:
"Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not
a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner
whatsoever and for whatever purpose..."
If not now, when?
